Dance Routine
Dancing makes Julia happy. She wanted others to feel happy as well and thought that dancing would bring a smile to faces. She is working with three classmates to perform a lyrical dance routine for the school and for families.
Her organization is documented here.

Feedback From Mr. Zortman & Morgan
The video was sent to Mr. Zortman and one of his students to critique. They girls received feedback that helped them move forward. They practiced and recorded themselves a second time.
Feedback from Mr. Zortman:
Good work. I enjoyed watching your dance.
Your movements make sense and often tie in with the words and that is good.
I don’t know what kind of space you have to practice, but if you can find a place with mirrors that always works well so that you can see each other. Part of dance when you have multiple performers is trying to keep everyone together and as synchronized (moving together) as possible. I would suggest you might want to look at that as an area to work on.
There are a few times when you are working as pairs that the 2 pairs can look at what each other are doing and make it the same (same body angle, timing, etc). When all 4 of you are doing the same moves look at the same things - body angles and keeping the timing together.
Congratulations on all of your good work. Keep it up!
Feedback from Morgan:
The Best of What Is: Your dance was very creative and I think the choreography was excellently pair with the music! Your parents will be very impressed with all your hard work!
The Best of What Can Be: There were a couple of places where you weren't all together. If at all possible, try to practice in front of mirrors, or record your performance and watch it with the other performers immediately after being sure to take notes. Also, make sure your faces are as expressive as your movements!
Very nice job ladies!
Best wishes,
Morgan

The girls practiced and practiced and practiced some more. They took the feedback they received and worked to move synchronously. Then they shot another video to send to Mr. Zortman & Morgan.
The video above was made after the girls practiced some more keeping in mind the advice they had received. It was sent to Mr. Zortman. Guess what? He responded.
That is great work, congratulations. I really don’t have any more suggestions for you. The things I mentioned the last time would still be the areas to continue to work with. Any time you have more than one person doing the same thing, coordination and being precise are important. Since you have 2 pairs working, there are some times you can still look at everything being more exactly the same.
I can’t really see your faces, but that would be an area I would suggest you look at too. They should also be the same - smiles or no smiles - whatever it is to be, make them all the same. (In general, unless there is a reason not to smile, you should smile.)

After planning and preparation, the girls performed four times during the school day. They scheduled times to perform during lunch periods.
They looked very professional and got lots of applause!
