As we looked at the news, we were disturbed by the amount of bad or negative news was being published. So much so, that we decided to analyze and categorize headlines we read. We also decided that we should write our own news stories!

We corresponded with Mr. McClure from the York Daily Record who shared this with us:
I've found over time that most news is neutral, meaning what is bad news to one person is good news to another, e.g, Central losing a football game would be bad news to Central fans but good news to the opponents.
When we were looking at the data, we were looking at it to find the bad news, which is not objective. We were being biased.
Bias: a particular tendency or inclination (dictionary.com)
Therefore, we went back to really analyze the latest headlines to determine if they were positive, negative, or neutral. Here's what we found when trying to look at it more objectively.
