Our class brainstormed what we would be doing during the course of the school year. After that, we talked about what was important to us individually and how those things could be used to help us develop our learning goals.

My goal is to do harder multiplication like 3 x 10.

My goal is to get more interest in chapter books!

My goal is to read more books that I understand.

My goal is to do multiplication with bigger and harder numbers since I know the basics.
AJ:
My goal is to read more books about piloting.
Julia:
My goal is to learn cursive.

My goal is to tinker with technology.

My goal is to read and understand challenging non-fiction facts like an encyclopedia.

My goal is to learn more so I don't have to worry about the PSSAs.

- I can do easy multiplication already and I want to be ahead in school.
Brandon:
My goal is to get more interest in chapter books!
- I will find the right chapter books for me. I will go to the library and get harder and better books, not 2nd and 1st, just 3rd. It is hard for me to sit down and read one.

My goal is to read more books that I understand.
- Sometimes I don't understand and mostly I am not interested in books, so I want to find a perfect book for me.
Katie:
My goal is to do multiplication with bigger and harder numbers since I know the basics.
- It's an important accomplishment for me because all through 2nd grade, I did the simple ones until I knew that I accomplished them. I would like to accomplish this one so I can move to division facts.
AJ:
My goal is to read more books about piloting.
- I want to be a pilot. I want to read pilot books so I know how to control aircrafts. Airplanes are important to me because I like airplanes.

My goal is to learn cursive.
- I is important to me because cursive is fun to do and I think it looks pretty.
Issac:
My goal is to tinker with technology.
- There's so much to learn about technology. There are cool games, science, math, social studies, history, reading, writing, social media, and so much more! The possibilities are endless!
Catie:
My goal is to get really good at cursive.
- I know that I will learn cursive, but I want to make it nice and readable because cursive is usually what you use to sign paper work when you get older.
Ethan:
My goal is to read and understand challenging non-fiction facts like an encyclopedia.
- It is an important goal to accomplish because it's really long to accomplish and read.

My goal is to learn more so I don't have to worry about the PSSAs.
- I can get so good that I do not have to worry too much about the PSSA's.

My goal is to help others.
- Helping other people gets things done faster. It also is nice to the person. It feels good to help others.

My goal is to read chapter books in English.
- This goal is important because I want to learn how to read big chapter books. I want to understand more English words when they are written.
Ayla:
My goal is to talk and learn about animals.
- I know a lot about cats and dogs because I watch Too Cute. I want to know more about cats and dogs and other animals too!

My goal is that I want to do lots of experiments.
- I want to learn about science experiments because it is interesting what they might do. I love science because you get to do fun tests and projects. I hope I get better at science since I love school and science. Science is fun because you get to learn new things.

My goal is to be a good reader.
- I want to read accurate because English is sort of a new language.

I want to read deeper into stories.
- I want to read deeper into stories to unlock that magic that character has.
Imani:
My goal is to learn multiplication and division.
- When I am an adult I will need to know. It will help me with my bills.

My goal is to know how to do hard division facts.
- I want to learn division like my sister in 8th grade because I think it is cool.

My goal is to have fun in PE.
- It is fun to unwind and play games. It is the part of the day I look forward to.

My goal is to learn more division so I can also do it fast.
- I don't know much about division so I can learn more and the ones that I know I can do faster. When I first see it, I can right away do it.
Sabrina:
My goal is to read more challenging books.
- I like to read more challenging books because reading more books makes it more interesting.
Megan:
My goal is to read more hard and deeper books.
- It's an important accomplishment. I know more paths of life. I can know about the feelings that he/she (author) can say on paper so I can know what was happening in his/her (author) life.
Rubi:
My goal is to learn cursive.
- I want to learn cursive because a lot of grown ups do it to sing papers. It looks cool. My goal is to learn all the cursive letters.
